About the Host

Ryan never planned on doing line work, despite his parents owning a small powerline company. Now, as a second-generation lineman, he’s hung from helicopters, performed barehand work on energized 500kV lines, rode spacer carts in the mountains, and instructed apprentices at line school. Despite all the adventures and accomplishments, he maintains that the best part of the gig is the people he’s met along the way.

LOVE this podcast. I have been looking into the trade for over a year and just found this podcast awhile back. I have learned SO much from all these episodes. I 10/10 recommend this podcast.

Love the podcast! This has given me great insights on the safety aspect of the trade. I’m taking things from this podcast and using them in my everyday tasks out on the line. IBEW lineman Local 317. Keep up the good work Ryan.

Love this podcast. As a line wife on the road, it’s nice to hear stories and be inspired by others with relatable lifestyles. The line wife episodes have helped me feel less alone during the past year with COVID. It’s also a great resource for me to gain greater understanding of the hard work my husband does and loves.

Listen to 1 and you’ll be hooked!! What a great podcast that anyone in the trades can easily relate to. Highly recommend to anyone with thoughts of self improvement. The guests he has had and the way he gets them to open make for a great podcast. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been listening to this show since the beginning and I’ve learned something new or taken something positive from every episode. The host Ryan is the “Joe Rogan” of our trade and personality, passion and experience in the trade is a perfect combination that makes for genuine, intelligent conversation with each guest. The show takes you outside the box of high voltage linework and focuses on particular issues, characteristics and thought processes of the human thought process. It’s my favorite podcast of all time and hopefully you will take a listen and enjoy it as much as myself and my friends do.

Ryan does a great job breaking down different s sides of the industry, bringing in knowledge from all aspects of the trade. I myself am currently working on getting into the trade and have found his podcast to be very helpful with gathering information on how and where to start. Thanks Ryan love the content.
